Our Content Director, Nicole Doster, is a long-time fan of Silk & Snow’s linen bedsheets. She’s even ranked them among the best cooling sheets available. The quality of the linen, its breathability and durability have made them a favorite. She was also eager to test their percale bed sheets.

The percale bed sheets are crafted in Portugal using 100% natural cotton and are dyed with natural dyes. They hold the prestigious Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex certification, guaranteeing that no harmful chemicals or synthetic materials were used in their production. She is likely to spot-treat it and sun dry it when the weather allows. She is not thrilled with the thought of not being able to properly wash it.

“I noticed a positive difference in my neck and shoulder pain after the first night of sleep. After 30 days, I’m amazingly pain-free in my neck and shoulders when I wake up, despite spending hours a day hunched over a laptop,” she raves. “I also feel generally less creaky and achy when I get out of bed. Even with the plush pillow top, the mattress is relatively firm and holds its shape versus cocooning you.”

Even though it does not advertise any cooling features, the mattress regulated Sabrina’s body temperature effectively, even during summer. “I wasn’t sure how well the organic cotton and wool would regulate my body temperature,” she admits. “But I was pleasantly surprised to note that I didn’t feel too warm while sleeping and didn’t wake up sweaty once.”

Protecting your new mattress with a mattress topper is a smart choice. Expert product reviewer Pamela Bondurant tested the Silk & Snow organic mattress topper, and found it perfect for hot sleepers. It’s made of breathable, GOLS-certified organic latex, and comes in two firmness options. It also has a removable cover that is machine washable.

“It was very comfortable and did not make my bed hot,” she says. “I like a firm mattress and was concerned that it would make my mattress feel too soft and squishy, but it didn’t do that,” says Pamela.

Mary was drawn to the sofa because of its modern design, modular layout, and stain-resistant fabric, which is essential for families with kids. She ordered a six-seater L-shaped configuration for her basement. “I was nervous about going with cream, but Silk & Snow’s stain-resistant fabric holds up. So far, all spills have been wiped clean,” she says. “We had one juice incident, but it was no match for the Shark StainStriker.”

After months of consistent use, Mary’s Silk & Snow couch offers firm, supportive seating that doesn’t sag. The seat depth is a bit shallow for her liking, but the overall fit is excellent for her space.

Shopping editor Emily Way found that her Silk & Snow bed frame with storage was the perfect addition to her bedroom. While some customer reviews claim it’s not sturdy, Emily found that the build quality is excellent when assembled carefully, taking the time to fully tighten all connections.
